Glenmary School Closed for Afternoon
Posted: December 11, 2017
Due to air quality concerns, Glenmary School has closed for the afternoon and will reopen tomorrow December 12th. All students and staff are safe. Parents and guardians have been notified and the majority of students have been picked up. Remaining students will stay at TA Norris School until they are picked up or until the buses arrive at 3:30pm.
“Air quality has been monitored closely throughout the modernization at Glenmary School, and we are thankful to those who alerted us to this situation so we could take immediate action. As with any construction project, unexpected complications can arise at any time and we are thankful that all students and staff were not harmed,” said Superintendent Betty Turpin. “The decision to close the school was made in the best interests of students and staff. The health and safety of students and staff will always be our first priority.”
HFCRD thanks the Glenmary School community for their patience and understanding throughout the modernization. The modernization at Glenmary School began in summer of 2016 and is expected to be complete by the end of this school year.
