Christian Service Hours
Both Holy Family Cyber High School and Glenmary School require all students to complete 25 hours of Christian Service in order to participate in our Graduation ceremony each year.
The purpose of the Christian Service Program is to provide a structured opportunity for high school students to prepare to become involved in some work of service to our church and community, and to reflect upon this activity in the light of the Gospel. The hope is that in personal presence to those who are less advantaged either by age or experience or through some physical or mental handicap, new dimensions of the young person’s gifts, talents and personality may be called forth in a compassionate manner.
For more information, please view the video and documents below that describe this program in more detail. If you have questions about this program please contact the office at 780-624-5656.
The Christian Service program is an integral part of our Religion classes. This video explains the purpose, process, and guidelines of our Christian Service program. We believe the program not only helps our community, but it also builds citizenship in our students and encourages life-long volunteerism.
